General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

§1 Scope and Applicability of these General Terms and Conditions 

  1. These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "GTC") govern the rights and obligations relating to the booking of events via the Alfons W. Gentner Verlag website at https://events.gentner.de ("we", "us") and the user ("you"). Events can be booked online at https://events.gentner.de. We also reserve the right to make our offers available through other websites and in printed form. 
  2. These GTC shall apply exclusively. We do not recognize any terms and conditions that conflict with or deviate from these GTC unless we have expressly agreed to their validity in writing or in text form. 

§2 Conclusion of the Contract 

  1. A contract is concluded only when we confirm your booking in text form (e.g. by email) after you have clicked the "Place Order with Obligation to Pay" button. 
  2. A prerequisite for entering into the contract is that you are at least 18 years of age or, if you are a minor, that you act with the permission or consent of your legal representative(s) (usually your parent(s) or guardian(s)). 

§3 Right of Withdrawal – Withdrawal Policy 

1. Right of Withdrawal 

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen (14) days without giving any reason. 

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the date the contract is concluded.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email).

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired. 

2. Effects of Withdrawal 

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including delivery costs (except for any additional costs resulting from your choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we receive notice of your withdrawal. 

We will use the same means of payment for the reimbursement that you used for the original transaction unless expressly agreed otherwise with you. In no event will you incur any fees as a result of this reimbursement.

§4 Prices 

The prices for each event are stated in the respective event information available on our website or in the event description provided in print or digital format. 

§5 Payment

Payment of the event fee is made by invoice.

§6 Cancellation / Withdrawal from Participation

  1. You may cancel your participation in an event free of charge up to 48 hours before the event begins. The cancellation must be made in writing. 
  2. If you cancel less than 48 hours before the start of the event, or if you fail to attend without providing timely notice of cancellation, the full event fee will be charged. 
  3. In individual cases, it may be possible to nominate a suitable substitute participant instead of cancelling your registration. Please contact us if you wish to arrange this. 

§7 User Obligations 

You are required to provide truthful and accurate information about yourself when registering for an event.
